Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL is seeking a manufacturing associate to cover multiple positions during vacations, absences, and peak times. You will support department operations, maintain GMP standards, and operate forklifts as needed.

The role requires flexibility across shifts and a strong focus on safety and teamwork. Responsibilities include learning all positions, assisting with breaks and lunches, and assisting the Department Manager or Utility Trainer during absences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with GMPs.
• Must demonstrate safe working habits.
• Must obtain license and operate forklift.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to learn and perform all positions.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good human relations skills (team player).
• Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and commitment to Publix.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of each position throughout the department when associates are on vacation or absent.
• Perform functions during unplanned absences and relieve for breaks and lunches.
• Keep updated on changes to procedures for all department positions.
• Perform day-to-day tasks of the Department Manager or Utility Trainer during vacations and absences.
• Serve as a positive role model and develop knowledge of plant operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
