Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years supervisory experience required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage shift personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and build teamwork.
• Equipment troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop employees to maximize effectiveness and career growth.
• Review daily production schedule for the department to plan work and personnel assignments.
• Create and deliver presentations on operational topics.
• Supervise personnel on shift in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Performance management including coaching and annual reviews.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff.
• Conduct probationary and annual performance reviews with department staff.
• Lead safety initiatives and maintain safe work environment.
• Identify delays and take action to meet shipping schedules.
• Ensure accurate production documentation and submit for approval.
• Collaborate with departments to control costs and apply lean principles.
• Drive continuous improvement through problem solving and 1:1 coaching.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Work with HR to ensure proper procedures are followed.
