Job summary

MACOM is seeking a Shift Manager for Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication in the United States. You will lead Fab shift operations, ensure safety, drive throughput, and manage WIP and staffing while collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering or manufacturing management, a BS in engineering, and US Person status due to ITAR regulations. MACOM offers RSU eligibility and a robust benefits package.

Shift Manager - Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication

Position Overview: Responsible for production and operational activities within the Fab on a compressed work week

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Fab performance Metrics , including but not limited to Safety, Revenue, Throughput, Cycle time, Yield and on time delivery commits for their shift team.


• Work In close collaboration with the Fab engineering, Equipment, Quality and Facility teams.


• Responsible for WIP management and on-time delivery to commits.


• Staffing: hiring, training, retention, dismissal, and employee relations. Enforce company policies and procedures.


• Create and maintain a high-performance culture.


• Drive continuous improvement of operational procedures, yield, and business systems.


• Lead Productivity improvement and cost reduction projects across the shifts


• Drive standardization activities/systems/protocols across shifts.

Key Competencies & Skills required:

• Excellent people management skills.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Very strong knowledge of semiconductor processing and basic device physics.

• Proficient with statistical methods used in manufacturing: SPC, DOE.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Min 5 years of engineering and/or manufacturing management.


• BS in Engineering.
