Job summary

Job description

Summary

Plans and directs all aspects of the casino’s property maintenance activities, including management of facilities maintenance.

Essential Job Functions

• Assign tasks to workers and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
• Direct workers engaged in preventative and general maintenance of the property including electrical repairs, carpentry, HVAC, painting, grounds keeping, flooring and carpeting. Inspect completed work for conformance standards. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Manage the facilities department and ensure all activities and job duties are performed according to established company and departmental policies, procedures and goals.
• Counsel team members and document counseling.
• Coordinate activities of outside contractors.
• Ensure all equipment, systems, and facilities are in proper condition and in line with local and national safety regulations in continual preparation for inspections by insurance, fire, and machinery officials.
• Ensure workers follow safety standards and practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
• Hire, train and manage staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies and programs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of building systems technology required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
