This role is vital to the operations within the restaurant because you’ll:

1. Lead the experience: Handle and oversee crew schedules
2. Inspire and Empower: Provide encouraging leadership for crew and managers to provide an outstanding guest experience
3. Understand that teamwork is key: Supervise and lead food safety and cleanliness measures to meet McDonald’s standards
4. Take action first: Take measures around safety, security, inventory, and profitability
5. Never stop learning: Cultivate and encourage training, education, and continued learning within the restaurant
6. Be results oriented: Drive and expect a high level of performance from the team

To Be a Successful Shift Manager, You’ll Need

1. Passion for helping and serving others (customers and fellow team members)
2. Strong customer service and support focus
3. The ability to communicate effectively and anticipate customer needs; and
4. To provide solutions and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

Managers lead shifts every week, making sure customers get a fast, accurate, friendly experience every visit. Some managers also lead Departments, managing systems like Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks, following up, and reporting results. Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment, but not required. We seek positive team players with flexible schedules who enjoy a fast-paced environment. You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our restaurants.
