Job summary

Five Guys Burgers and Fries seeks Manager in Training to grow into a Shift Manager role across Cincinnati and Kentucky locations. You will lead teams, coach staff, and ensure quick, friendly service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Starting pay is $17.00 with electronic tips adding about $2.00 per hour, reaching $19.00 or more depending on the location. Full-time hours and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in food service or fast-casual dining.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Own transportation and flexibility for nights and weekends.
• Full-time availability (40 hours per week) and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train team to deliver Five Guys experience to customers.
• Motivate and supervise staff across shifts to maintain service pace.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and register operations.
• Uphold safety, cleanliness and quality standards daily.

All hires must have open availability, meaning open 7:30-4, close 4-11 pm Mondays - Sundays.. 7 days a week and 1-2 current years experience as a shift manager in a restaurant setting.

Starting pay $17.00 an hour plus electronic tips which pays out $2.00 more an hour making your hourly rate $19.00 an hour or more, depending on location.

We are recruiting Managers In Training to become Five Guys Burgers and Fries Shift Managers. Managers at Five Guys are an important part of the restaurant leadership team. Use your ability to motivate, teach and lead your team to WOW our customers while creating an environment your team enjoys working in.

We have several locations in greater part of Cincinnati and Kentucky. If you have up to 1-2 years of current fast-casual supervisory dining experience and enjoy shoulder-to-shoulder teaching, never cut corners, and lead by example, then this is the job for you!

Requirements

• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a food service environment, such as shift lead, shift manager
• High School Diploma
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work night AND weekend hours
• Full-time availability (40 hours per week)
• High energy and dedication to customer service
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and move at a fast pace
• The ability to be flexible and adapt to any situation
• Proven track record of leadership or managerial skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are necessary
• Must be able to operate a cash register
