Job summary

Buffalo Wild Wings is seeking a Shift Manager to assist the General Manager in running daily restaurant operations. You will supervise shifts, coach team members, and stay hands-on at all stations to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

You will conduct pre/post shift meetings, monitor labor vs. service levels, and support sales-building initiatives while maintaining safety and food-handling standards. Experience in quick service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age and eligible to work.
• High school diploma or equivalent and state/local food handling certification.
• Two years restaurant/quick service experience preferred.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Shift Manager position creates legendary experiences for guests by assisting the General Manager in managing shift operations, providing support and coaching to team members to ensure tasks are performed effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises the operation of the restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis
• Provides support to team members, coaches team member behaviors and is hands on with all stations
• Conducts pre and post shift meetings
• Diligently follows food and general safety requirements and models behavior that protects them and others
• Completes all manager tools and administrative duties on time and with integrity
• Manages the balance of labor hours and service efficiency during their shift to meet labor guidelines without sacrificing guest service
• Supports execution of all sales building initiatives
• Assists the General Manager with interviewing, onboarding, training, development and retention of team members
• Stays current on all federal, state, local and company required training and certifications
• Other duties as assigned

• General knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, safety and security systems and procedures and computer operations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified in any state, county or local food handling requirements

Preferred

• Minimum of two years of restaurant, quick service restaurant experience or Buffalo Wild Wings experience
