Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a friendly Restaurant Assistant Manager in Illinois. You will train staff, respond to guests, and lead operations in a busy unit, helping drive guest satisfaction and sales.

As a leader, you’ll coach team members, manage scheduling and labor, uphold food safety and quality standards, and foster a positive culture. Must have at least one year in a leadership role and be 18 or older, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of management and/or leadership experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to effectively delegate responsibility and motivate a team.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work 30-40 hours per week with flexible shifts (6 am–12 am).
• Position may include walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, or moving objects up to 55 pounds.
• Driving may be needed; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you are one of the leaders of a million-dollar business. Perform hands-on work to train employees, respond to guests needs and model appropriate behaviors within the restaurant. You will help provide the overall leadership for the team, recognize, and motivate all employees, and coach and train the team for operational excellence.

What You Bring to the Table

• Minimum of one year of management and/or leadership experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Sense of humor and an ability to effectively delegate responsibility and motivate a team
• Conflict resolution skills required, as well as excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work 30-40 hours per week within our operating hours, with the flexibility to work variable shifts throughout the week (starting as early as 6 am, and working until as late as 12AM)
• Position may include walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, or moving objects up to 55 pounds
• Certain other physical requirements may apply, as reasonably applicable in a standard kitchen/restaurant environment

Driving may be needed for this position, so a valid driver's license is required, must have reliable transportation
