Job Summary

Each day at Taziki’s is a little different - part of what keeps it exciting! You might have an opening shift or a closing shift.

For an opening shift, mornings are spent helping your prep crew ready the store for lunch service and preparing catering orders for guests, keeping a close eye on food safety practices and recipe perfection. Before the doors open, gather your team for pre-shift, and catch them up on the latest updates. During the day, you'll manage shift change, help on the line, and prepare for dinner orders. In the evening, you'll assist with online orders, serve guests, and prepare for the next day.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests and making meaningful connections
• Opening & closing tasks
• Being responsible for the restaurant when a manager isn’t on duty
• Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear directions
• Mastering menu and product knowledge
• Supporting or working stations, including kitchen
• Prepping food and doing side work
• Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
• Maintaining Health Department Standards
• Following alcohol handling policies
• Proper food handling and storage
• Maintaining hygiene and appearance standards

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Prior food service experience preferred
• Leadership, guest service, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions and policies
• Energetic, eager to learn, loves fresh food
• Flexible schedule
• Dependable and trustworthy
• Must obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after starting

Working Conditions & Hours

Typical shifts include morning (7am-4pm), evening (4pm-10pm), weekends, and holidays (closed Thanksgiving & Christmas). Hours vary by store. The environment includes kitchen equipment like ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors.

Physical Requirements

• Walking and standing for extended periods
• Reaching, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds
• Wiping, twisting, cooking
