Job summary

BD in Puerto Rico seeks a Shift Leader to train production associates, assign tasks to meet schedules and ensure products are manufactured per specifications and ISO 13485/Safety standards.

You will lead operations, verify set-ups, maintain documentation in SAP, and support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, BDPS). Requires Associate Degree and 2–5 years’ pharma/medical device manufacturing experience; bilingual Spanish & English preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• 2–5 years’ experience operating manufacturing equipment in pharma/medical device.
• Exposure to Shift Leader duties or proven leadership.
• Preferably bilingual (Spanish & English).

Responsibilities

• Train employees in proper production techniques.
• Assigns employees to jobs to meet production schedules.
• Lead operations to follow manufacturing specs and procedures.
• Verify set-ups and line clearances per procedures.
• Participate in 5S, BDPS, and PVD initiatives.
• Review production documentation and ensure DHRs are complete.
• Submit accurate production reports to Accounting.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with ISO 13485 and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness in production areas.
• Monitor environmental conditions and report deviations.
• Enter production data in SAP at shift end.
• Pursue ongoing cost reductions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
