Position Mission: The mission of the Shift Leader is to ensure safety and quality standards are met while leading and coaching the team to deliver exceptional service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring team accountability.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met.
2. Verify proper handwashing and adherence to standards.
3. Complete food safety checklists regularly.
4. Coach team members through conflicts and serve as a role model.
5. Hold team members accountable for 'Own your zone' tasks.
6. Conduct zone walks to verify task completion.
7. Review deployment charts and assign team members appropriately.
8. Execute back-of-house (BOH) shift change procedures.
9. Assess each zone regularly.
10. Plan and assign breaks for team members.
11. Post daily goals and utilize the SWS form.
12. Maintain cleanliness of dishes and back-of-house areas.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

1. 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred in food service or retail, with profit & loss accountability, schedule writing, and team development.
2. Obtain and maintain ServeSafe Certification within 45 days of employment.
3. Strong leadership skills to coach and guide team members.
4. Conflict resolution skills and ability to maintain a positive environment.
5. Accountability and task completion skills.
6. Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
7. Ability to complete safety checklists and verify standards.
8. Organizational skills for shift execution and zone assessments.
9. Ability to review deployment charts and plan breaks effectively.

Physical Demands:

1. Work in temperatures of 0°F or less and over 100°F.
2. Move throughout the restaurant for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours).
3. Lift up to 50 lbs. for distances up to 10 feet.
4. Balance and move up to 25 lbs. for distances up to 50 feet.
5. Respond to requests in a loud environment.
6. Stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to handle objects.
7. Reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
8. Visual and sensory abilities, including color and depth perception.
