Job summary

Royal Farms is seeking a part-time Shift Leader to manage store operations on duty, acting as the in-charge when a senior leader is absent. You will lead a team in delivering top-tier customer service, ensure product availability, and execute food service programs with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

The role requires solid supervisory skills, excellent communication, and the ability to coach staff. Relevant certifications and prior retail or food service leadership are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong supervisory and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership abilities and ability to develop team members.
• Preferred: 1+ year in food service or retail management; ANSI Food Safety Manager Certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations in the absence of a senior leader.
• Manage shift tasks including POS transactions and cash controls.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security and SOPs throughout the shift.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain product availability.
• Coach and support team to provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Maintain store cleanliness and appearance and report maintenance issues.
