Job summary

Duane Reade is seeking a dynamic Shift Leader to join our team. The role involves overseeing store operations, guiding staff, and supporting the assistant manager with company initiatives. A strong emphasis on customer service and compliance with policies is essential.

Fluency in English is required and prior Duane Reade retail experience or equivalent leadership in retail is preferred. Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is expected to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track store operations, including cash control, inventory, safety, and staff performance.
• Support the assistant manager in implementing company initiatives.
• Lead by example to ensure superior customer service across the staff.
• Maintain price integrity and compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Foster positive working relationships with staff, vendors, and corporate contacts.
• Ensure store conditions and merchandising align with corporate standards.
• Plan and coordinate staff activities to optimize store performance.
• Maintain well-stocked shelves and effective replenishment processes.
• Create a harassment-free, welcoming work environment.
• Motivate staff to achieve store goals and complete tasks efficiently.
