Shift Leader - Restaurant 201450 - 8015 Beechnut, Houston, TX 77036 (Finance)

Reports To (Title): Restaurant General Manager

Department: Field Operations

Job Summary: To serve as a restaurant leader, providing coaching, training, and development to Team Members during shifts to ensure an outstanding customer experience at Church's. Ensure compliance with all Cajun Operating Company policies and procedures.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and ensure prompt, friendly, and courteous customer service.
  2. Ensure all Church's menu products are prepared and served according to standard procedures.
  3. Assign and oversee team activities during shifts.
  4. Assist Team Members in preparing quality products, providing service, and maintaining cleanliness.
  5. Demonstrate proper procedures for team members to follow.
  6. Enforce safety and security policies and procedures.
  7. Perform opening and closing duties as per the Shift Awareness Checklists.
  8. Follow proper procedures for food preparation, receiving, handling, and storage, including rotation and icing procedures.
  9. Maintain professional and ethical leadership behaviors.
  10. Ensure on-time attendance of all employees during shifts.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is highly recommended.
  • ServSafe food safety certification is highly recommended.

Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:

  • Complete weekly sales reports, bank deposit slips, cash and inventory worksheets, and other required forms, ensuring accuracy.
  • Enter inventory and payroll data into the POS system as required.
  • Ensure proper nightly closing of the POS system.
  • Adhere to cash handling and security procedures, including sales counts, drawer management, POS adjustments, over-rings, voids, large bill drops, and cash levels.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, have access to a vehicle during shifts, and provide proof of insurance.
  • Successfully complete the Shift Leader certification program.
