Job Summary:

To serve as a restaurant leader and ensure that Team Members on shift are provided with the proper coaching, training, and development necessary to provide an outstanding customer experience at Church's. Ensure compliance with all Cajun Operating Company policies and procedures as set forth by the company.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and ensure prompt, friendly, and courteous customer service.
  • Monitor and ensure all Church's menu products are prepared and served according to standard procedures.
  • Ensure that assigned job activities are carried out by Team Members.
  • Assist Team Members as necessary to prepare quality products, provide service, and maintain a clean restaurant.
  • Demonstrate proper procedures for Team Members to follow.
  • Enforce safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as required on the Shift Awareness Checklists.
  • Follow proper procedures for the preparation of all menu items.
  • Follow procedures for receiving, handling, and storing food products, including proper rotation and icing procedures.
  • Maintain professional and ethical leadership behaviors at all times.
  • Ensure on-time attendance by each employee for shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is highly recommended.
  • ServSafe food safety training is highly recommended.
Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:
  • Complete Weekly Sales Reports, Bank deposit slips, Cash and Inventory worksheets, and other forms as required, ensuring accuracy.
  • Enter inventory and payroll data into the POS system as required.
  • Ensure the restaurant polls nightly through correct POS system shutdown procedures.
  • Adhere to cash handling and security procedures, including sales counts, drawer bank counts, POS deletions, over-rings, voids, large bill drops, and maintaining proper cash levels.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License, have access to a vehicle during shifts, and provide proof of insurance.
  • Successfully complete the Shift Leader certification program.
