Reports To (Title): Restaurant General Manager

Department: Field Operations

Job Summary: To serve as a restaurant leader and ensure that Team Members on shift are provided with the proper coaching, training, and development necessary to provide an outstanding customer experience at Church’s. Ensure compliance with all Cajun Operating Company policies and procedures as set forth by the company.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and ensure prompt, friendly, and courteous customer service.
  2. Ensure all Church’s menu products are prepared and served according to standard procedures.
  3. Ensure that assigned tasks and activities are carried out by Team Members.
  4. Assist Team Members as necessary to prepare quality products, provide service, and maintain a clean restaurant.
  5. Demonstrate proper procedures for Team Members to follow.
  6. Enforce safety and security policies and procedures.
  7. Perform opening and closing duties as required on the Shift Awareness Checklists.
  8. Follow proper procedures for the preparation of all menu items.
  9. Follow procedures for receiving, handling, and storing food products, including proper rotation and icing procedures.
  10. Maintain professional and ethical leadership behaviors at all times.
  11. Ensure on-time attendance by each employee for the shift.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is highly recommended.
  • ServSafe food safety training is highly recommended.

Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:

  • Complete Weekly Sales Reports, Bank deposit slips, Cash and Inventory worksheets, and other required forms for the shift, ensuring accuracy.
  • Enter inventory and payroll data into the POS system as required.
  • Ensure correct nightly closing of the POS system.
  • Adhere to established cash handling and security procedures, including cash sales counts, drawer bank counts, drawer assignments, POS deletions, over-rings, voids, large bill drops, and maintaining appropriate cash levels.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License, have access to a vehicle during shifts, and provide proof of insurance.
  • Successfully complete the Shift Leader certification program.
