Shift Leader - Restaurant 200538 - 920 N. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63106 (Finance)

Reports To (Title): Restaurant General Manager

Department: Field Operations

Job Summary: To serve as a restaurant leader and ensure that Team Members on shift are provided with the proper coaching, training, and development necessary to provide an outstanding customer experience at Church's. Ensure compliance with all Cajun Operating Company policies and procedures as set forth by the company.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure prompt, friendly, and courteous customer service.
  • Ensure all Church's menu products are prepared and served according to standard procedures.
  • Assign and supervise Team Members to carry out their activities effectively.
  • Assist Team Members in preparing quality products, providing service, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Demonstrate proper procedures for Team Members to follow.
  • Enforce safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as required on the Shift Awareness Checklists.
  • Follow proper procedures for the preparation of all menu items.
  • Handle and store food products according to procedures, including rotation and icing.
  • Maintain professional and ethical leadership behaviors at all times.
  • Ensure punctual attendance of all employees during shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is highly recommended.
  • ServSafe food safety certification is highly recommended.

Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:

  • Complete Weekly Sales Reports, Bank deposit slips, Cash and Inventory worksheets, and other required forms accurately.
  • Enter inventory and payroll data into the POS system as required.
  • Ensure nightly POS system shutdown for proper restaurant polling.
  • Adhere to cash handling and security procedures, including cash counts, drawer management, POS deletions, over-rings, voids, large bill drops, and maintaining appropriate cash levels.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License, have access to a vehicle during shifts, and provide proof of insurance.
  • Successfully complete the Shift Leader certification program.
