Job summary

KwikFill in Canastota, NY is seeking a Shift Leader, an entry-level developmental role to train for an Assistant Manager position. You will support the Store Manager, supervise daily operations, and help develop new staff.

The role entails weekend management coverage as needed and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include greeting customers, suggesting purchases, operating the POS, stocking and merchandising, and ensuring compliance with safety and health rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior convenience store experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Offer appropriate customer service.
• Greet all customers with a smile and hello.
• Suggest merchandise purchases to all customers.
• Learn and operate the cash register and additional required equipment with accuracy.
• Price, stock, and face merchandise.
• Manage product storage, maintenance and rotation to avoid damage or spoilage.
• Maintain store in accordance with health department rules and policies.
• Follow all security and safety policies and procedures.
• Account for all shift and daily transactions.
• Present a neat and clean appearance and dress code compliance.
• Learn and complete store required paperwork accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store/District Manager.
• Be responsible for all cash and inventories in absence of management.
• Report shortages/overages immediately.
