Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation seeks an energetic Shift Leader to help guide the restaurant team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will support the Restaurant Manager by overseeing daily operations, coaching team members, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring each shift runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Previous leadership experience in retail, restaurant or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate Team Members during each shift.
• Delegate tasks and communicate shift goals and priorities.
• Coach employees with timely, constructive feedback.
• Support onboarding and training of new Team Members.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
• Perform all Team Member responsibilities as needed.
• Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving operational and sales goals.
• Ensure all food, beverage, and service standards are consistently met.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and overall restaurant appearance.
• Maintain inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
• Complete shift change communication to ensure smooth transitions.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Lead by example by providing friendly, fast, and accurate service.
• Encourage Team Members to create a welcoming and positive guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health standards.
