Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader to drive operations on the floor, coach team members, and keep quality and service at peak during rushes. You'll lead shift management, train and motivate Family Members, and help meet goals for food cost, labor cost, and inventory.

Based at your home restaurant, you'll collaborate with the Restaurant Manager team, participate in leadership sessions, and have opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• ServSafe Food Certification or ability to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members to perform at peak levels.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales, and inventory processes.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
