Job summary

Siren Triton LLC is hiring a Shift Supervisor for a licensed Starbucks location on the UCSD campus in La Jolla, San Diego. Lead baristas during shifts, coach the team, and ensure beverage quality and customer satisfaction.

Previous barista and customer service experience are required. You should be able to delegate tasks, work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Barista experience is required.
• 6 months of customer service experience with regular customer interaction.
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to direct, support and coach others.
• Basic math and cash handling skills are expected.

Be part of one of San Diego's most dynamic Starbucks locations, right in the heart of the UC San Diego campus, serving a loyal community of students, faculty, and staff in one of the city's safest and most vibrant environments. Siren Triton LLC is looking for experienced Shift Supervisors to join our team as we begin operating the licensed Starbucks location on the UCSD campus.

A Shift Supervisor at Starbucks helps lead the store during their assigned shift and supports the team in delivering an exceptional customer experience. A Shift Supervisor:

• Leads and supports the team during shifts by providing direction, coaching, and encouragement.
• Builds positive relationships with customers and teammates while creating a welcoming environment.
• Delegates tasks and coordinates the work of team members to keep the store running efficiently.
• Helps ensure beverages and food are prepared according to Starbucks standards and customer preferences.
• Communicates effectively with teammates and management to support smooth daily operations.
• Takes initiative, solves problems, and helps maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and support the work of baristas during assigned shifts.
• Coach and support team members in beverage preparation, customer service, store procedures, and safety standards.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate team activities to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Provide high-quality customer service and address customer concerns in a professional manner.
• Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages according to standard recipes or customized customer requests.
• Support cash handling, store safety, security, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed.
• Support opening and closing procedures and ensure the store is prepared for the next shift.
• Communicate operational needs, concerns, and updates to store management.
• Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Summary of Qualifications

• Previous barista experience is required.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience in a position involving regular interaction with customers.
• At least 6 months of experience delegating tasks and/or coordinating the work of two or more employees.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to direct, support, and coach the work of others.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming experience for customers and teammates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 30-40 hours per week
