Modern Market Eatery is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to grow in a restaurant leadership role within a fast-paced, open kitchen setting. You will ensure shifts run smoothly, uphold guest service expectations, and lead with a focus on food quality and cleanliness.

We value teamwork and strong communication as you manage opening/closing procedures, supervise breaks, and coordinate station coverage. This full-time position comes with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience required.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Food handlers and alcohol service training preferred.
• Ability to coordinate work of self and others.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks
• Continually monitor our food and food quality
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts
• Run the shift while making sure that all employees are taking their given / mandatory breaks at the appropriate time throughout the day
• Work all stations in the restaurant while recognizing where you are most needed at a given time
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed

• This position is paid hourly and is eligible for overtime in accordance with laws applicable to the work location.
• This position is eligible to participate in Tip sharing! This benefit can add upwards of $2 / hour additional pay and is paid out each pay period.
