Job summary

Noah’s New York Bagels in Oakland is seeking a Shift Leader to help motivate the team and ensure a great guest experience. You will empower staff, set the team tone, provide coaching, and open/close the store with minimal supervision while maintaining food quality and store safety.

This role offers a flexible schedule, opportunities for advancement, and competitive pay with tips. A ServSafe certification is required prior to leadership training, and candidates must be 18+ with the ability to

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass background check as applicable with local/state/federal law.
• Possession of ServSafe Certification prior to leadership training.
• Valid driver’s license preferred at specific locations.

Responsibilities

• Motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience and coach team members as needed.
• Open and close the store with little supervision.
• Maintain quality of food and beverages and keep a safe, clean store.

We are looking for a Shift Leader!

Our Shift Leaders are like the cream cheese on the bagel. The bagel is delicious on its own, but the cream cheese adds a LOT of flavor and helps hold it all together!

What’s a day in the life of a Shift Leader?

Our Shift Leaders collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience. We empower Shift Leaders to take charge and set the morale and tone of the team. They provide feedback and coach team members when needed. Shift Leaders open and close the store with little to no supervision. Our teams take pride in ensuring the quality of the food and beverages we serve; and by keeping a safe and clean store environment. As a Shift Leader, you will have the opportunity to rise like one of our bagels and grow your career. Many of our General Managers started as Shift Leaders and Team Members! What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training
• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations) and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy
• Tip eligibility subject to state regulations.
• Additional benefits eligibility is subject to position guidelines at time of hire.

Hourly Rate

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.
• Ranges reflect what employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.
