Job summary

Insomnia Cookies in Nashville is hiring a Shift Leader to captain day or night operations in our bakery. You will deliver outstanding customer service, oversee baking, cashiering, and packaging, and foster a fun, productive night shift for the team.

Lead by example, train teammates, monitor production, and ensure safety with clean, compliant work practices. Must have 1+ year in a customer service role, strong communication, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs; must be eligible to work in the United

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience in a customer service focused role.
• Point of Sale systems experience.
• Outstanding communication, time management, and people skills.
• Outgoing, friendly, patient demeanor.
• Detail oriented and results-driven.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all guests throughout their experience within our bakeries.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift, communicating pertinent information, monitoring production efficiency, and coaching team members.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew team.
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew.
• Provide a safe, clean working environment and adhere to safe food handling practices.
• Manage cash handling and deposits including other duties as assigned.

You are the captain of our bakery day or night! You understand what it takes to “Own the Night” (and beyond), by predicting the flow of business during a successful shift. WHAT WILL I DO AS A SHIFT LEADER?

• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew team

• Provide a safe, clean, working environment for our guests and staff and adhere to safe food handling practices
• Manage cash handling and deposits including other duties as assigned

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of working experience in a customer service focused role
