Wegmans is seeking an entry-level leader in Leesburg, Virginia, responsible for managing customer service employees and store operations throughout the day and night. You will lead a passionate team, ensuring high standards of service while contributing to a collaborative environment.
This role involves managing checkout operations, actively engaging in problem-solving, and participating in special projects to improve workplace culture. A successful candidacy requires customer service experience, and skills in multitasking and computer use.

We’re looking for entry‑level leaders who are passionate and ready to collaborate, lead, and give their best every day! In this role, your responsibilities will consist of coordinating and troubleshooting daily activities of our customer service employees, as well as taking part in store management duties and projects. Through these responsibilities you will gain a deep understanding of our values, business measures and operations, experiencing everything from daytime to nighttime hours, often acting as a liaison between different areas of the store. You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of customer service focused team members, ensuring they have the tools and resources to be successful at their jobs. Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Managerial/supervisory experience living our values and achieving results in our 5 measures; Experience coordinating daily work of others; Front End experience. The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast‑paced environment. May be asked to work at cash register station (see Cashier). The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens. The work environment is indoors with occasional exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures near hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees) and seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include computer and handheld telephone and may also include walkie reach/hi-lo, powered pallet jack, and scissors lift.
