Job summary

KFC in Kentucky is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily operations with energy and care, guiding team members through busy shifts and upholding the brand’s standards.

You’ll coach staff, manage cash handling, ensure food safety, and collaborate with the RGM on performance and training while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1 year of restaurant/retail experience, with 3 months shift lead experience preferred.
• Adheres to cash, security, inventory and labor policies.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Access to dependable transportation.
• Excellent communication, management/leadership and organizational skills.
• Physical dexterity to move up to 50 lbs.
• Attendance and punctuality are a must.
• Operates the cash register and makes change for coworkers.
• Basic math skills.
• Maintains customer satisfaction and health/safety standards.
• Promotes KFC culture and values.
• Provides constructive feedback to Team Members.
• Executes shift duties accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Team Members' completion of shift tasks and maintain neat appearances.
• Ensure food safety, quality, and accuracy of orders.
• Provide regular feedback to the RGM on Team Member performance.
• Offer ongoing constructive feedback to Team Members.
• Participate in training Team Members.
• Handle conflicts with the RGM to reach resolution.
• Assist the RGM in screening Team Member candidates.
• Assist with Profit & Loss management by following cash control and security procedures, inventory and labor.
• Oversee product preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking and holding times.
• Assist the RGM with facility maintenance and health & safety standards.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by executing KFC Connect Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs.

• Ensure food safety, quality, and accuracy of orders.
• Provide regular feedback to the RGM on Team Member performance.

• Actively participate in training Team Members.
• Handle conflicts constructively and work with the RGM to achieve resolution.
• Assist the RGM in screening Team Member candidates.
• Assist with Profit & Loss management by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory and managing labor.
• Oversee proper product preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking and holding times.
• Assist the RGM with facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are always followed.
