Job summary

Einstein Bros. Bagels in Irvine, CA is hiring a Shift Leader. You’ll work with the General Manager to motivate the team and ensure a great guest experience, while maintaining a safe, clean store and high food quality.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, being 18+, ability to work varied early hours and weekends, background check, ServSafe certification, and a valid driver's license where required. Starting pay is $20–$22 per hour with benefits and 401K.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work varied hours/days including early hours (as early as 3am) and weekends.
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, ServSafe Certification prior to leadership training.
• Possession of a current, valid state issued driver’s license and meet driving qualifications as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience.
• Empower Shift Leaders to take charge and set morale and tone of the team.
• Provide feedback and coach team members when needed.
• Open and close the store with little to no supervision.
• Maintain quality of food and beverages and keep a safe, clean store environment.

What's a day in the life of a Shift Leader?

Our Shift Leaders collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience. We empower Shift Leaders to take charge and set the morale and tone of the team. They provide feedback and coach team members when needed. Shift Leaders open and close the store with little to no supervision. Our teams take pride in ensuring the quality of the food and beverages we serve; and by keeping a safe and clean store environment. As a Shift Leader, you will have the opportunity to rise like one of our bagels and grow your career. Many of our General Managers started as Shift Leaders and Team Members! What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training
• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations) and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy

Hourly Rate:
