Position Summary
The Shift Leader assists the General Manager or Person In Charge (on duty) with management activities and duties. This role collaborates with the Restaurant Management Team to ensure all activities align with the restaurant’s business plan and that Crew Persons and Team Leaders meet their responsibilities and expectations.

Essential Functions
May perform duties including:
• Providing quality products and customer service for total satisfaction
• Improving the skills and performance of Crew Persons
• Supporting sales, profits, and cost control efforts
• Complying with company policies and procedures
• Modeling and encouraging company values
• Communicating effectively with internal and external contacts
• Attending industry trend training
• Participating in meetings, webinars, and calls
• Performing additional duties or projects as needed

Qualifications/Core Competencies
• 2-3 years of experience or education demonstrating restaurant management knowledge
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Excellent planning, time management, team building, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to troubleshoot cash handling issues
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
• Access to a reliable communication method
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with process improvement ability

Work Environment
Fast-paced with kitchen equipment in tight spaces

Physical Demands
Standing for long periods, bending, stooping, working around heat, lifting 50-75 lbs., and handling cleaning products
