Job summary

Bruegger's Bagels in Belmont, MA is seeking a Shift Leader to join our team. The role partners with the General Manager to energize the team and ensure a superb guest experience, while opening and closing with minimal supervision.

You’ll help maintain food quality, safety, and cleanliness, and you’ll have opportunities to grow within the company as many leaders have started in this role. Flexible schedule, with no evenings or nights in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work varied hours/days including early hours and weekends.
• Background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law.
• ServSafe Certification prior to leadership training.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license preferred or required at some locations.
• Tip eligibility subject to state regulations.
• Additional benefits eligibility subject to position guidelines at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team and deliver a great guest experience.
• Empower Shift Leaders to set morale and tone of the team and coach members.

What’s a day in the life of a Shift Leader?

Our Shift Leaders collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience. We empower Shift Leaders to take charge and set the morale and tone of the team. They provide feedback and coach team members when needed. Shift Leaders open and close the store with little to no supervision. Our teams take pride in ensuring the quality of the food and beverages we serve; and by keeping a safe and clean store environment. As a Shift Leader, you will have the opportunity to rise like one of our bagels and grow your career. Many of our General Managers started as Shift Leaders and Team Members! What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training
• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations) and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy
• Tip eligibility subject to state regulations.
• Additional benefits eligibility is subject to position guidelines at time of hire.

Hourly Rate

$14.57 - $21.86 per hour

• Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.
• Ranges reflect what employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.
