Job summary

Smoothie King in Colleyville, TX is seeking a Shift Leader to support guests in selecting smoothies and retail products that fit their fitness goals. You will guide team members when the GM is away and help uphold brand standards.

You will open/close, handle cash, manage inventory, and ensure high‑quality smoothie prep while delivering a friendly, supervised guest experience. Must be reliable, communicate well, and promote Smoothie King’s culture.

As a brand ambassador, Shift Leaders will help our guests meet their fitness and nutrition goals by assisting them to help select smoothies and retail products that inspire them to live a healthy and active lifestyle! A Shift Leader will also provide guidance to team members when the General Manager is not in the store. The successful shift leader will be passionate about the brand and demonstrate willingness to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Blends delicious tasting smoothies.
• Ensures Guest’s purpose is met when smoothies are ordered.
• Greets and engages the Guest to provide a friendly experience
• Properly preps all fruits, vegetables, frozen items, powders, and liquids.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Performs store checklist tasks.
• Shows up on time and ready to work.
• Lives and promotes the culture, values, and mission of Smoothie King
• Assists in Team Member management throughout shifts.
• Fulfills cash handling, inventory, and open/closing store assignments.

Essential Functions:

• Minimum 1 years of experience as a team member in a restaurant or similar type of retail customer service business.
• Microsoft Office knowledge required.
• Knowledgeable of general POS functionality.
• Excellent Communication Skills, ability to give and receive feedback.

Additional Responsibilities:

ALL OF THE DUTIES OF A TEAM MEMBER INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:

• Operates a blender and POS cashier system.
• Regularly moves boxes, weighing up to 55 lbs., throughout the store.
• Constantly positions self to bend, reach, and scoop throughout assigned shifts.
• Ability to be mobile in walk‑in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F.
• The employee must be able to tolerate exposure to food allergens.
• Knowledgeable of general POS functionality.
• Excellent Communication Skills, ability to give and receive feedback.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time (6 to 8 hours).
• Must be extremely reliable.
• Makes bank deposits and reconcile daily cash drops
• Assist the General Manager with product ordering
• Must ensure consistency and high quality preparation of smoothies and Guest service.
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of all areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
• Brand loyalty: Communicate and execute positive brand impression to the overall Guest experience.
