Vireo Health of Rocky Mountain is seeking a Shift Lead at our Albuquerque location. You will support the Store Director and Assistant Manager to ensure policy adherence while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Role emphasizes cash handling, inventory management, and daily store operations in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail or cannabis knowledge is beneficial; 21+ is required. Competitive pay with full-time hours and benefits are offered.

What the role is about:

As the Shift Lead, your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our stores, where exceptional customer service and operational efficiency intersect. You are a crucial link that aids the Store Director and Assistant Manager in maintaining a harmonious balance of adherence to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines while simultaneously enhancing the customer experience. Your contributions play a vital role in the overall success of our dispensary, making each customer visit a memorable one. The Shift Lead is a non-supervisory role, intricately woven into the fabric of our daily store operations, ensuring every aspect runs like a well‑oiled machine.

What impact you'll make:

Customer Service (40%)

• Provide customers with a friendly and welcoming experience, assisting them as needed
• Offer product information and guidance, answering questions and helping customers find suitable products
• Address customer inquiries and concerns, striving to ensure their satisfaction
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment to create an enjoyable shopping experience
• Collaborate with the team to suggest improvements based on customer feedback
• Assist with returns and exchanges, ensuring a hassle‑free process for customers

Cash Handling and Transactions (25%)

• Support the team in training staff on proper cash handling and transaction procedures
• Work together with colleagues to perform daily cash reconciliation and reporting
• Collaborate with the finance department to enhance cash flow and financial efficiency
• Participate in routine cash register audits to verify accurate cash handling
• Assist in refining and simplifying cash handling procedures for the team
• Help colleagues with advanced cash register functionalities for smoother transactions

Inventory Management (15%)

• Contribute to maintaining product quality and safety standards
• Support the organization of products for easy restocking and accessibility
• Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure accurate inventory levels
• Assist in implementing in-store promotions and sales strategies to manage inventory
• Participate in monitoring supply chain performance and identifying process improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with team members to report and analyze product trends and customer preferences

Please note that the percentage allocations are a general estimate and may vary based on business needs and priorities. Additional duties may be required as needed to support overall operations.

What you've accomplished:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred
• Knowledge of cannabis and its products is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficient in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations
• Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic

Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day
• Stores are open 7 days a week from 8:00 am – 11:45 pm (varying by location), nights, weekends & holidays
• The schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico Food Handler License to support safe and compliant handling of cannabis products
