Job summary

Finjan Coffee Co. is seeking a Shift Lead / Manager-in-Training in San Diego to lead shifts and drive daily operations in a fast-paced setting. This full-time role is designed for growth into an Assistant Manager position, with weekend and weekday availability required, including early mornings and late shifts.

The path includes ongoing leadership development, a clear progression to management, and a structured training plan to build hospitality skills and ownership over time.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in coffee
• Experience leading shifts or small teams
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory, or scheduling
• Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Food Handler’s Card (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support daily operations in a high-volume environment
• Train, coach, and develop baristas and shift leads
• Learn scheduling, inventory management, and cost control
• Ensure high standards of hospitality and guest experience
• Partner with leadership on hiring, culture, and team performance
• Take on increasing responsibility as you grow into management
