Job summary

Murphy USA in Michigan is hiring immediately for part-time Shift Leads to empower growth, for those ready to deliver great customer experiences and take on store leadership responsibilities.

You will operate the register, ensure fuel and merchandise availability, maintain a clean, safe store environment, and support the Store Manager while guiding the team to meet and exceed goals. The role involves occasional backup duties and training new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Minimum 3 months of Cashier experience.
• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in several states.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience
• Responding to and resolving customer’s requests and concerns
• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store’s performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees
