Job summary

Murphy USA is hiring immediately for part‑time Shift Leads at our Sumter, SC location. The role focuses on delivering prompt, courteous customer service and supporting store operations to meet performance goals.

As a Shift Lead, you will assist customers with purchases and fuel, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, safe environment while driving team development and advancement opportunities within Murphy USA.

Qualifications

• Must have 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns.
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operating cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives.
• Performing job related duties as assigned.
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees
