Job summary

Drybar in Pasadena is seeking a Shift Lead/Cosmetologist to supervise the shop during your shift, lead client experience, and ensure Drybar standards are upheld.

You will train new bartenders, delegate tasks, manage scheduling, monitor inventory, and promote from within. The role emphasizes delivering blowouts under 45 minutes, maintaining exceptional service, and contributing to a positive team environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Current and valid cosmetology license for the state you are applying.
• Shampoo, blow-dry and amazing hair styling & finishing skills. Ability to do a blowout in under 45 minutes.
• Supervise shop staff on the shift assigned: bartenders & stylists.
• Lead client experience from check-in to check-out, ensuring Drybar standards are upheld.
• Lead team member responsibilities: assign clients to stylists, delegate tasks, and manage meal/break schedule.
• Monitor shop inventory, back bar and retail supplies; place orders to meet standards.
• Train new bartenders: educate on Booker and Drybar's 10 core values; ensure blowouts under 45 minutes.
• Desire to provide exceptional service to clients and staff; implement problem-solving strategies.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service.
• Ensure all company procedures and policies, federal, state, and local regulations are followed; adhere to Drybar timekeeping policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift team of stylists and bartenders to deliver Drybar standards.
• Oversee client check-in/check-out and front-of-house flow to ensure a smooth experience.
• Delegate tasks, assign clients, and manage meal/break schedules.
• Monitor inventory and place orders to maintain supplies.

• Maintain high levels of customer service and problem-solve on the floor.

We are looking for a hair stylist who has:

• A current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying.
• Shampoo, blow-dry and amazing hair styling & finishing skills. Ability to do a blowout in under 45 minutes!
• Supervise shop staff on any given shift assigned: Bartenders & Stylist.
• Lead client experience from check in to check out ensuring Drybar standards are upheld.
• Lead team member responsibilities: assign clients to stylists, delegate tasks to bartenders and stylists, execute meal period and break schedule.
• Monitor shop inventory: regularly check back bar and retail supplies, place orders when needed to meet supply level standards.
• Train new bartenders: educate on using Booker and Drybar's 10 core values. Ensure Stylists are completing blowouts in under 45 minutes.
• A desire to provide exceptional service not only to our clients but to our staff. Implement problem solving strategies and maintain awareness.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment and dedication to customer service.
• Ensure that all company procedures and policies, federal, state, and local regulations are followed. Ensure all Drybar's timekeeping policy and supervisor policy addendum. Responsible for reporting all time worked for self and others in a timely fashion.
