Job summary

Drybar Shops is seeking a Shift Lead/Cosmetologist to oversee daily operations and ensure high standards of blowout services. The role emphasizes leading the client experience, supervising bartenders and stylists, and maintaining schedule discipline while driving efficiency on shift.

As a Drybar professional, you will train new staff, manage client flow, and uphold quality standards. Competitive hourly pay starts above $19.87 with bonuses and employee perks including free blowouts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid cosmetology license for the applying state.
• Strong shampoo, blow-dry and styling skills with ability to complete a blowout in under 45 minutes.
• Experience supervising shop staff and leading client experience on shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop staff on each shift (bartenders and stylists).
• Lead client experience from check-in to check-out in line with Drybar standards.
• Assign clients to stylists and delegate tasks to team members.
• Train new staff on using Booker and Drybar policies.
• Monitor inventory and place orders to maintain supplies.
• Ensure all timekeeping and supervisor policies are followed.

We are looking for a hair stylist who has:

• A current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying.
• Shampoo, blow-dry and amazing hair styling & finishing skills. Ability to do a blowout in under 45 minutes!
• Supervise shop staff on any given shift assigned: Bartenders & Stylist.
• Lead client experience from check in to check out ensuring Drybar standards are upheld.
• Lead team member responsibilities: assign clients to stylists, delegate tasks to bartenders and stylists, execute meal period and break schedule.
• Monitor shop inventory: regularly check back bar and retail supplies, place orders when needed to meet supply level standards.
• Train new bartenders: educate on using Booker and Drybar’s 10 core values. Ensure Stylists are completing blowouts in under 45 minutes.
• A desire to provide exceptional service not only to our clients but to our staff. Implement problem solving strategies and maintain awareness.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment and dedication to customer service.
• Ensure that all company procedures and policies, federal, state, and local regulations are followed. Ensure all Drybar’s timekeeping policy and supervisor policy addendum. Responsible for reporting all time worked for self and others in a timely fashion.
