Job summary

DoorDash Essentials, LLC in Manhattan, NY is seeking a Shift Lead for the central Harlem DashMart site. You will own shifts, manage warehouse and light kitchen prep, supervise associates, ensure safety, quality, and on-time order fulfillment.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, reliable, with experience in food, warehouse or retail, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and willing to obtain a food handling certificate. Flexibility with shifts is required.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, positive, and a team player with integrity.
  • Able to work in fast-paced, physical environments, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Food handling certification to be obtained with provided training.
  • Eligible to work 18+ years of age, with flexible scheduling.
  • Experience in food, warehouse, and/or retail environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned shift and manage warehouse and light kitchen processes.
  • Lead Operations Associates, ensuring safe, productive work and escalation when needed.
  • Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and customer pickups run smoothly.
  • Maintain inventory, equipment, and assets; uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Contribute ideas to improve quality and customer experience.

In this role, you will work within a local fulfillment center supporting Site Management running great shifts, and delegating tasks. As a Shift Lead, you will have shift responsibility for fulfilling orders in a warehouse environment and maintaining inventory, and in some locations, this involves preparing food in a light-prep kitchen.## You’re excited about this opportunity because you will...* Be an Owner: Take ownership of your assigned shifts, including warehouse and kitchen processes, safety/cleanliness, quality, and training.
