Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on, dependable Shift Lead / Assistant Shift Supervisor with experience in a manufacturing environment—preferably in glass production or pharmaceutical packaging. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is comfortable with supervisory duties, has basic technical skills, and thrives in managing both people and processes.

NOTE: This opening is for Second Shift, 3PM-11PM Monday-Friday with some Overtime expected as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Shift Oversight

• Review previous shift operations and ensure continuity.
• Prepare and monitor equipment and materials for upcoming jobs.
• Maintain alignment with the production schedule and escalate disruptions promptly.

Workforce Management

• Ensure adequate shift staffing and reassign or fill in for roles as needed (e.g., packer, machine operator).
• Support team members to achieve optimal productivity and performance.

Administrative Duties

• Complete daily production and incident reports accurately.
• Enter and maintain data in ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with GMP standards.

Compliance & Safety

• Enforce company health and safety standards, PPE use, and proper housekeeping.
• Promote a culture of safety, cleanliness, and operational discipline.

Quality Monitoring

• Oversee packing processes and identify issues impacting pack rates or quality.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical packaging standards when applicable.
• Act as shift supervisor in their absence, ensuring smooth operational handoffs and leadership continuity.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• 2+ years in manufacturing or glass production preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical packaging and knowledge of GMP is a strong plus.
• ERP system experience (SAP preferred); proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Language:

• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Salary Range: $21-$24 per hour
