Job summary

AbbVie Westport is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the Contamination Control team. The role leads a CCO team responsible for sanitising cleanrooms and related areas in the Biological cores, with a rotating days/nights shift. Strong leadership and GMP experience are required.

The position focuses on maintaining audit-ready documentation, executing cleaning activities to schedule, and ensuring safety and quality standards across multiple cleanrooms and related facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate, and develop the contamination control team through effective communication, performance reviews and coaching.
• Lead and coordinate all contamination control activities on the assigned shift, ensuring activities are prioritised and executed in line with production requirements, schedules and KPIs.
• Escalate risks and performance issues in a timely manner to the Contamination Control Manager.
• Ensure assigned areas and CCO associated documentation is audit ready at all times.
• Perform cleanroom sanitisation of the Biologics manufacturing areas including Core 1–4, PFS and sterility suites.
• Ensure areas are stocked with cleaning disinfectants/gloves/gowns/goggles and removal of waste.
• Complete autoclave cycles and filter testing per procedures.
• Understand gowning procedures and protocols to ensure consistent performance within the team.
• Accurately complete documentation and logbooks per Good Documentation Practices.
• Report equipment issues to relevant departments.
• Attend relevant training and ensure timely completion including eLMS.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, Quality and housekeeping standards and notify management of discrepancies.
• Participate in GEMBA’s and Process Confirmations to identify improvements.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to support site metrics.
