Job description

Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start‑ups, cash handling, ensuring floor and stock room readiness, and opening the back door for deliveries.
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to registers.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Hold store keys to open and close in absence of management; assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, record scanning errors, price verifications, price modifications and voids.
  • Assist manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
  • Assist manager in evaluating and developing displays, completing resets and revisions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts across all departments.
  • Ensure overdue program is followed; perform basic department pricing, daily price changes, and ensure proper signage and compliance.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities: cash report, cash counts, ledgers, bill payment.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clear, neat store condition, and request repairs as needed.
  • Assist with separation of food items, stock rotation using FIFO.
  • Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
  • Assist at pharmacy window as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws on regulated products.
  • Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
  • Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Complete special assignments and tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
Communications
  • Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members; communicate assigned tasks when management is absent.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
