Base pay range
$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start‑ups, cash handling, ensuring floor and stock room readiness, and opening the back door for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
- Hold store keys to open and close in absence of management; assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
- Register all related sales on assigned cash register, record scanning errors, price verifications, price modifications and voids.
- Assist manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
- Assist manager in evaluating and developing displays, completing resets and revisions.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts across all departments.
- Ensure overdue program is followed; perform basic department pricing, daily price changes, and ensure proper signage and compliance.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities: cash report, cash counts, ledgers, bill payment.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clear, neat store condition, and request repairs as needed.
- Assist with separation of food items, stock rotation using FIFO.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at pharmacy window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws on regulated products.
- Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
Communications
- Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members; communicate assigned tasks when management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
