CHEP is hiring for a hands-on production role at our site in Georgia. You will lead by example, support daily production, and collaborate to ensure policy compliance while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Lead by example within the assigned functional area, guiding peers and ensuring smooth production operations.
• Support production activities, stepping in during shifts to maintain workflow and continuity.
• Collaborate with plant admin to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assist leadership in enforcing policies to maintain inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Be SME for areas like forklift operations, pallet sorting, or repair lines.
• Fulfill production duties ensuring quality and efficiency aligned with goals.
• Monitor and maintain production KPIs, daily operations and shipping schedules.
• Coordinate with team members to adjust workflow and meet targets.
• Ensure smooth pallet flow from customer to trailers; operate forklift as needed.
• Provide hands-on peer leadership and support site leadership on policies.
• Lead or assist shift start-up and maintain safety compliance.
• Track production data and safety information; respond to carriers by email.
• Enforce quality procedures; assist with audits and pallet inspections.
• Participate in safety walks and general floor observations; perform other duties.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

• Lead by example within the assigned functional area, offering guidance and support to peers, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth production operations.
• Actively support production activities, stepping in during shifts or breaks to maintain workflow and operational continuity.
• Collaborate with plant administration to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, promoting consistency and operational compliance.
• Assist Plant leadership in enforcing policies and procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure operational efficiency.
• Act as the subject matter expert for specialized areas, such as forklift operations, pallet sorting, or repair lines, providing expertise and ensuring best practices are followed.
• Fulfill assigned production duties, ensuring quality and efficiency in line with plant performance goals.

Operational Execution:

• Assists with monitoring and maintaining production KPIs, day-to-day operations, and shipping schedules.
• Coordinate with team members to adjust workflow as needed, addressing immediate operational challenges to ensure site meets production and performance targets.
• Ensures smooth pallet flow from the customer to the trailers.
• May operate forklift and sort as needed.

Peer Leadership & Coaching

• Provide hands-on peer leadership to production staff, providing direction when needed, troubleshooting, delegating, and monitoring activities.
• Support site leadership to ensure compliance to established policies and procedures.
• Participate and sometimes lead shift start-up.

Administrative (15%)

• Tracks/enters production data and safety information as needed.
• Responds to carriers via email.

Customer Service, Safety and Quality:

• Enforces policies and procedures to drive quality accuracy.
• Support site leadership with conducting quality audits and inspection of pallets.
• Participate in Safety audits, walks, and general observation of floor activity.

• Other duties as assigned.
