Base Pay Range
$17.00/hr – $20.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store independently, managing required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door of store for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Hold store keys and act as a key holder when management is unavailable.
- Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including vendor deliveries.
- Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Assist manager in reviewing order exceptions, reverse logistics, displays, promotions, seasonal, and sales merchandise resets.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure correct on‑hand quantities across departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
- Ensure compliance with Outdate program and inventory management practices.
- Perform basic department pricing, daily price changes, and ensure proper signage to support accurate pricing.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities: cash report, cash counts, ledgers, bill payments as requested.
- Support store maintenance by ensuring cleanliness and reporting repairs when needed.
- Assist with food separation and product placement policies, and restock using first‑in, first‑out.
- Maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at Pharmacy at window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attend training and complete required Performance Planning Logins (PPLs) as requested by the manager.
Communications
- Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
