Job summary

Mo’ Bettahs in the United States is seeking a Shift Lead to support the team and step up when the General Manager is away. You’ll help with customer service, food prep, and ensuring fast, accurate service while upholding company standards.

This role develops leadership skills, coordinates team performance, and guarantees a smooth shift from opening to closing. Prior restaurant exposure is preferred, and we offer full-time hours with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and support Team Members to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with company standards across operations, including product preparation and delivery.
• Oversee customer relations and maintain restaurant standards, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Assist with team management and stepping into leadership roles in the absence of the GM or MIT.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Shift Leads are trained to perform all the duties that Team Members do, with additional responsibility for ensuring a smooth-running shift. This is especially important in the absence of the General Manager or Manager in Training (MIT) - as they assume that leadership role. Assists with ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, team management and other duties as required or assigned. Helps lead the team in giving our customers the best experience with fast and accurate service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license

WORKING CONDITIONS

Position requires qualified individuals to be able to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods of time, be able to lift to 30 pounds, bend, stoop and kneel. May be required to work outside in various weather conditions. May be required to work on a computer for extended periods of time, including viewing the screen, using a mouse, manipulating a keyboard with hands, and reaching with arms. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment. Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state. Must disclose prescribed and/or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that may impair or affect the ability to perform the job's essential functions. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
