Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a Shift Engineer (First Grade State of MD Stationary Engineer) at our Somerset County facility. The role oversees the steam plant and performs required maintenance during shifts.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or GED, a First Grade State of Maryland Stationary Engineer’s License, and has three years of steam plant operating experience. The position operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus three years of operating experience in steam plant operations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
• Possession of a First Grade State of Maryland Stationary Engineer license.
• Shift Engineers will be on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
• This position will be open until filled.

Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Shift Engineer (First Grade State of MD Stationary Engineer) located at our facility in Somerset County, MD. This position is a plant operator who will be in charge of the steam plant and provide maintenance as needed during their shift.

Estimated Pay Range:

$73,547.00 - $101,127.12
