Salt & Straw is hiring Shift Coordinators in a fast-paced hospitality setting to support daily shop operations, coach teammates, and deliver standout guest experiences. You’ll coordinate opening and closing, assign tasks, handle cash and inventory, and ensure food safety, cleanliness, and quality while maintaining a welcoming environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in team settings, and cares about flavor storytelling.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of food service, restaurant, retail, coffee or hospitality experience.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work at least 3 shifts per week, including 2 closing shifts.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
• Comfortable discussing flavors and offering samples.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shop operations to ensure a smooth and welcoming guest experience.
• Coach and support team members through real-time feedback and training.
• Open/close the shop and manage daily tasks while maintaining standards.
• Handle cash, inventory, and daily documentation with accuracy.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with third-party deliveries and provide excellent guest service.
