Job summary

Casual Part-Time (Req# 2026-244) 8-hour rotating shifts, 8 hours per week.

Description of Position

This position entails being responsible for coordinating the administrative and operation activities for KGC nursing service for the designated shift in the absence of the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), Director of Nursing (DON), and Managing Director. The Shift Coordinator carries out (1) planning/organizing, (2) directing/implementing, (3) supervising, (4) communicating, and (5) evaluating functions to promote efficient operations of the Nursing Service for their shift in accordance with established standards, policies, procedure, legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

Graduate from a school of nursing with current Hawaii Registered Nurse license required; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum one-year experience in acute medical/surgical/gerontological nursing required. Minimum one-year supervisory experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Basic Life Support (BLS), Level C certification required, with retraining once every two years.

Starting Hourly Rate $49.46
