Job summary

Carris is seeking a CNC Operator III to efficiently and safely operate multiple CNC machines. The role requires strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and follow customer specifications.

You will perform limited setups, assist with cycle changes, and collaborate across shifts to ensure material readiness and quality. Candidates should have prior machine operation experience, know how to read tape measures, and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience required.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• Strong numerical and measurement skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, procedures, guidelines, and training.

• Load/unload parts, set up as needed, and maintain clean work area.
• Interface with manufacturing personnel on status and issues.
• Coordinate with shift supervisor on materials.
• Commit to overtime as needed and support a team environment.

Band III CNC OperatorPOSITION SUMMARY:This key position requires the efficient and safe operation of multiple CNC machines. Also requires excellent math skills, mechanical skill, and ability to read and follow customer specifications. CNC operator level III performs limited set-ups and requires some supervision.RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow safety rules, procedures, guidelines, and training given. Recognize and report hazards to designated individual(s). Actively participate in safety program. Practice safe work habits and report accidents/injuries immediately.Flexibility in job assignments and adaptability to changing business needsContinually learn and apply new skills.Use vacuum lift and/or manually load CNC machines with plywood sheet stock. Unload, stack, and clean when cycle is complete.
