Job summary

EMR USA Metal Recycling in Mobile, AL seeks a proactive SHEQ Coordinator to drive safety, health, environmental, and quality programs across the region. The role includes promoting a culture of safety, conducting site audits, and supporting regulatory compliance in an industrial setting.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in SHEQ, knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards, strong communication skills, and a BS in environmental science or engineering. Onsite work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of SHEQ experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• BS degree in environmental science or engineering, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI and local/state regulations.
• Experience with environmental permitting, tracking, reporting.
• Valid drivers license.
• Professional safety IH certifications are desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA standards in an industrial setting.
• Assist Facility Manager with site, corporate, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote SHEQ awareness and safety culture across the organization.
• Manage Site Safety Plans and SDS database.
• Conduct site audits and routine facility audits.
• Assist SHEQ/Operations teams in documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Provide site safety orientations and training, and manage training records.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
