Job summary

The City of Conroe seeks a Veterinary Technician to support the veterinarian on duty and ensure quality care for all animals in a safe hospital and kennel environment.

Under the direction of the Animal Shelter Manager, you will assist with medical protocols, admissions, adoptions, animal handling, sanitation, and routine procedures; a high school diploma with three years of experience is required, with Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with three years of experience.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Complete an accredited or recognized course in veterinary assisting or technology.
• Graduate from AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Maintain Continuing Education requirements of credentialing.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License or higher and good driving record.
