Job summary

Essential HealthCare Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Lead/Charge RN to anchor one of the North Fort Myers shelter sites. You will oversee the on-site medical station, ensure a licensed RN is always present, and direct deployed LPNs and CNAs in a high-tempo, storm-activated setting.

This PRN leadership role requires crisis-response experience, BLS, and strong coordination with EMS and site management.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license
• Current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred
• Prior charge-nurse/lead-RN experience preferred
• Ability to coordinate a small clinical team under pressure
• ICS/FEMA (NIMS) training preferred

Responsibilities

• Anchor the shelter site and ensure a Florida-licensed RN is on-site at all times
• Lead the on-site medical station: screening, triage, basic care, and five-minute emergency response
• Direct and coordinate deployed LPNs and CNAs; assign tasks and manage on-site clinical workflow
• Serve as clinical liaison to site management, safety personnel, EMS, hospitals, and emergency management
• Own shift handoffs and continuity of care between the 12-hour shifts
• Ensure accurate, complete documentation and feed daily operational nursing reports
• Escalate emergencies to EHS Clinical Lead per protocol
• Monitor supply levels and coordinate replenishment with Shelter Operations & Logistics Specialist
